I don't need you to tell me I'm pretty, to message or to call.

I don't need you to say I'm the one, to take me out, or to even bother with me at all.

I don't need you to call me beautiful, talented or clever.

I don't need you to prioritise me, or to say that we're forever.

I don't need you to make my heart skips beats I never knew it could.

I don't need you to turn my life around to face the way it should.

I don't need you to be there, I don't need you to protect me, I don't even need you to care.

I don't need you to...but I want you to.
